30 Day Parks & Play Challenge
We love parks! We love hitting the trails, checking out Denton art, and enjoying the waterside views all in one place—our City of Denton parks! We love them so much we thought we’d set out and take on a challenge, a 30 Day Parks and Play Challenge.
It might sound like an easy challenge to visit a park a day for 30 days but with only 47% of Denton residents within a 10-minute walk to a local park, according to the Trust for Public Land ParkServe database, it might be more difficult for most than expected. Imagine, with every visit to a city park you had to load up the family and/or your fur babies and drive just to relax and play. Multiply that by 30 and that could really become a challenge. That’s why the Denton Parks Foundation advocates and invests in securing land for the Denton Parks and Recreation Department’s future parks and green space uses. Ensuring no matter how much Denton grows, our parks grow with us.
If you love parks as much as we do, sign up now for the 30 Day Parks & Play Challenge! Whether you walk, bike, or play just do it for 30 days at any City of Denton park. Sign up in the month of February and receive a “I Heart Denton Parks Foundation” sticker to show your love of parks and get e-newsletters throughout the year to keep up with all things park-related.
Also, be sure to tag the Denton Parks Foundation on your posts with #30DayParksAndPlayChallenge! See you at the park!
