Have An Idea For A Parks Program, Event, or Initiative?

Partner with the Denton Parks Foundation to unite people over parks and play.

  • The Denton Parks Foundation has long supported community-led projects to help make parks better. We are guided by our commitment and vision to unite people over parks and play through investments, advocacy, and volunteerism resulting in accessibility and quality life for all residents.

    • 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status for grant and purchase eligibility under DPF

    • Online donation page on the DPF’s website and access to online partner resource toolkits

    • Donor tax receipts

    • Donor and database management

    • Quarterly financial statements (minimum)

    • Grant application review, administration and record-keeping (HOT Funds)

    • Special-event compliance review

    • Review of fundraising materials and online campaigns

    • Communication and promotion of events through social media

    • Coordination of insurance coverage and (by request) liability insurance certificate for up to $1 million per occurrence and $2 million in aggregate

    • Membership to our partner network, with email updates on relevant opportunities, information, and invitations to fundraising and networking events

    • Payroll services

    • Web hosting

    • Access to office space and storage

    • Assistance with 501(c)(3) application

    • Case-specific legal advice

    • Case-specific tax and/or accounting advice

The Denton Parks Foundation fiscally sponsors Park Partners who:

  1. Increase Denton park engagement and access to green spaces and community facilities

  2. Encourage community participation that serve all Denton residents

  3. Have a shared, inclusive, equitable, and accountable community leadership with a diverse committee

  4. Are supported by the larger community, landowners, and relevant public agencies and entities

  5. Can attract funding from community donors or other funders

  6. Have specific goals, regular financial activity, and the capacity to deliver on commitments
