A Community Garden and Orchard

  • Located about 2.8 miles, or a 10-minute drive, away from the Denton Square.

  • 18-acre neighborhood park and community garden

  • This park is named after the street in which it resides on.

The garden plots are available for reservation by community members. New plot allocations are released on an annual basis. For more information on garden plot rentals, call City of Denton - Parks & Recreation Department at (940) 349-7275.

The fruit orchard comprises peaches (Red Globe and Harvester), pears (Moonglow and Orient), apples (Mollie’s Delicious and Gala), pomegranates (Spanish Sweet and Salavatski), plums (Methley and Bruce), and apriums (an apricot/plum hybrid known as Flavor Delight), as well as native and paper-shell pecans. When the fruit matures, you can simply help yourself. The pecans typically fall after the first hard frost.
