About the Park
Denia Park is a 23.5-acre community park offering a mix of recreational amenities and open green space for residents of Denton. The park includes sports facilities such as softball fields and basketball courts, along with a playground, pavilion, and a concrete walking trail that loops through the park.
The park is named after Denia Rayzor, wife of local businessman and philanthropist Newton Rayzor, who donated the land to the city. Rayzor played a significant role in Denton’s early development, and the park stands as part of his legacy of community giving.
Park Improvements
Following a series of major improvements, Denia Park celebrated a grand reopening in March 2026. Updates included improved drainage for year-round usability, upgraded electrical and lighting systems, new and improved trails, ADA accessibility enhancements, renovated restrooms, and additional trees for increased shade and greenery.

Denia Park offers a well-rounded outdoor experience with options for both active recreation and casual visits. The walking trail provides a comfortable route for exercise, while the sports courts and fields support organized play and pickup games.
With its mix of shaded areas, open space, and family-friendly amenities, the park is a convenient destination for everything from a quick walk to a full afternoon outdoors.
