Event Rules & Regulations

Dog Days of Denton

  • Attend event at your own risk.

  • Dogs must be on a leash at all times.

  • Dogs must have proof of current, up-to-date vaccinations.

  • Owners are legally responsible for the behavior of their dog(s) at all times.

  • Dog waste must be cleaned up immediately and disposed of properly by the dog's owner.

  • Dog handlers must be 18+ years of age.

  • Children aged 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times.

  • Dogs that engage in aggressive behavior must be removed from the event immediately.

  • Prohibited:

    • Glass containers

    • Dogs in heat (canine estrus)

    • Sick dogs

    • Puppies under 4 months of age

    • Aggressive dogs

Dog Pool Party

  • A V.I.Paw Ticket is for 1-2 dog(s) and 1 human companion.

  • Human-to-dog ratio is 1:2. Each human handler must be 18+ years of age.

  • Enter at your own risk.

  • Dogs and humans swim at their own risk. Avoid swimming deeper than waist level.

  • Young children may enter the dog pool party at no cost.

  • Children aged 10 and under must be supervised by an adult other than the one handling the dog.

  • Owners are responsible for the actions of their dogs. Keep your dog in sight and under voice control.

  • No aggressive dogs.

  • Owners should be aware of their dog's behavior and must leave if requested.

  • Dogs displaying aggressive behavior or fighting must be controlled and removed. No reimbursements will be given in the case of removal.

  • No dog should be left unattended.

  • All dogs must wear a collar and ID tags.

  • All dogs must be healthy and have current, up-to-date vaccinations.

  • No puppies under 6 months allowed.

  • No dogs in heat (canine estrus) allowed.

  • Owners must clean up after their dog.

  • Do not feed dogs without owner's permission.

  • No smoking or vaping.

  • No glass items permitted in the pool area.

  • No running.

  • Serious problems resulting in injury must be reported immediately.

  • Damage to property, including trees, shrubbery, furniture, etc. will not be permitted and violators will be held responsible.

  • The event is rain or shine. No reimbursements will be given due to inclement weather.

  • If a dog defecates in the pool, the pool will be evacuated of participants while the pool chemicals are being tested and a proper amount of time has passed.
